Extra Sweetness At Sweet Sundays Cafe

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon in December, and I decided to head out to Brooklyn for the day. I was excited as I headed over to Sweet Sundays Cafe. I intentionally packed my bag the night before with my laptop, journal and various study materials. I planned to stay the whole day there. I kept hearing so many great things about this Haitian Cafe & Eatery I had to check it out!

The Cafe was founded by Felix Cesar whose mission is dedicated to celebrating great coffee and specialty drinks through authentic culinary experiences, while fostering a welcoming environment that honors family traditions and community engagement. The Cafe partnered with Chef Fabiola, who brings a unique culinary experience that elevates every dish

I was greeted by the staff who were all very warm and vibrant. I felt so welcomed. The Cafe is small and cozy but there is room for everyone. I picked a seat by the window and took a glance at the menu as I prepared for my stay.

The first thing I was looking to order was Coffee! Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love Coffee! I ended up ordering the popular Kremas Latte. This signature drink really celebrates Haitian Heritage. It is a delicious creamy, spiced coffee creation that combines rich espresso with traditional Caribbean flavors for a warm, comforting experience that’s unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere in Brooklyn!

Now that my Coffee was ordered your girl was ready to rock and roll and get some food in my belly! I ended up ordering the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. This was not your average sandwich from the corner store. This sandwich was packed with flavor and was very satisfying!

I ended up pairing my bacon, egg & cheese sandwhich with the truffle potato wedges. Very delicious! I loved the fact that they were savory and not greasy.

Of course I had to try the signature Haitian soup Joumou! It was fantastic filled with savory meat, spices, and vegetables.

Then as the day started to come to an end I could not leave without trying some of their pastries.

If you’re looking for a place that serves affordable DELICIOUS authentic Haitian Cuisine then Sweet Sundays is your spot! I would recommend this spot for any occasion. Whether your hanging solo or with a group it is definitely worth every bit of your time! This Cafe gets a 10/10!
