Hi StyleCeleb Fans, Diane Von Furstenberg, Fashion Queen and genius was honored with a retrospective of her fashion collection. We were there on the red carpet surrounded by celebrities, models and fashionistas wearing their best DVF frocks.
StyleCeleb friend, Booth Moore at the LA Times says it best: Diane von Furstenberg’s wrap-dress army is a force to be reckoned with in the 20,000-square-foot gallery of the historic May Co. department store building in Los Angeles, where her “Journey of a Dress” exhibition opened Saturday with 200 vintage and contemporary interpretations of the iconic design.
There they are, 200 mannequins strong, standing in formation and ready to conquer the world.
And conquer the world is exactly what this dress did.
The show, which was put together for the 40th anniversary of Von Furstenberg’s brand, celebrates her singular contribution to fashion history: the wrap dress, which is on par with the T-shirt and blue jeans when it comes to its cultural impact.

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) announced the winners of their third AACTA Intl. Awards Jan. 10 at a ceremony in Los Angeles, with “Gravity” and “American Hustle” each winning two gongs.
The awards recognize cinematic excellence in seven categories: best film, director, screenplay, actor, actress, supporting actor and supporting actress.
The ceremony was hosted by AACTA president Geoffrey Rush, who shared the stage with fellow Australian presenters including Jacki Weaver, Stuart Beattie, Anthony LaPaglia and Yvonne Strahovski.
“Gravity” won best picture, with director Alfonos Cuaron taking the director trophy, while “American Hustle” won for Eric Warren Singer and David O. Russell’s screenplay, and Jennifer Lawrence’ssupporting actress role.
Steve McQueen’s “12 Years a Slave” triumphed in the actor categories, with Chiwetel Ejiofor nabbing the actor gong and Michael Fassbender winning the supporting actor honor.
Australian Cate Blanchett recieved the actress award for her portrayal of a New York socialite whose world — and mind — collapse after her husband’s financial crimes leave her penniless in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine.”
“The AACTA Intl. Awards are Australia’s international stamp of screen success,” said Rush. “They recognise our international counterparts, add an Australian voice to international Academy discussion, and celebrate our fellow Australians working internationally.
“I congratulate this year’s AACTA Intl. Award nominees and winners on their compelling and inspiring work and as always I look forward with anticipation to see if our international peers have concurred with the AACTA Intl. Chapter in this year’s Awards season selection.’

Cate Blanchett attended the 2014 AACTA International Awards held at Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, CA. The 44-year-old Australian actress won Best Lead Actress for her work on Blue Jasmine, beating out Amy Adams,Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench, and Meryl Streep. Besides winning the award, StyleCeleb gives her the nod for best dressed.

Hi StyleCeleb fans, During the People’s Choice Awards Red Carpet, we noticed Kat Dennings was wearing what appeared to be a strange glove on her right hand. We found out that on Sunday, Kat Dennings suffered a kitchen accident and sliced her hand with a knife before rushing to the emergency room for treatment. , the 27-year-old Two Broke Girls star tweeted, “In Kat’s house, the knives wash YOU #emergencyroom #sadfinger.”
